Open Call

“The New Allergies”

Collective Exhibition

GEN-IA and IIIIL open an international Open Call for digital artists working with artificial intelligence, in collaboration with the creative communities AI/CC and FRMWRK, as part of the first GEN-IA Creative Day.

The selected works will be exhibited in March 2026 at the Centro Cultural Las Cigarreras, Alicante, Spain.

About the Exhibition

“The New Allergies” explores the emotional, aesthetic and cultural reactions that artificial intelligence is generating within contemporary creative practices.

AI produces attraction and rejection at the same time. It introduces new sensitivities, visual frictions, hybrid aesthetics and shifts in authorship and process. This exhibition focuses on how human creativity responds to these changes.

Artists may approach the concept by representing these new allergies through tension, mutation or discomfort, or by imagining possible remedies, adaptations and new ways of coexisting with AI-driven creation, including works exploring architecture and built environments.

About GEN-IA

GEN-IA is an open day, critical and accessible event focused on the real possibilities of artificial intelligence applied to creative processes. It is conceived as a space to share knowledge without rigidity, to open debates without labels, and to learn from practices that are already shaping the present of art, design, audiovisual creation, architecture, photography and digital culture.

GEN-IA approaches AI not as a spectacle, but as a creative substance that, when used consciously, can open new paths across disciplines and ways of thinking.
